Restoring Bradford’s Oldest Public Building

Old Church Theater’s home is the oldest public building in Bradford, Vermont. First commissioned in 1781, construction was completed in 1794. It has been an active community space for residents of Bradford and the surrounding area for well over over two centuries. The building last underwent significant restoration in 1890, and continued with modernizing updates in 1897 and 1931.

Since 2017, Old Church Theater has been working to restore our historic building yet again, and expand it into a modern Performing Arts Center. A community centered, creative space featuring live theater, music, dance, visual arts, and much more for everyone to enjoy in the centuries ahead.
